Privacy policy

Last updated 24 September 2026. This policy applies to midwestwaterpros.com and to the forms we run on Facebook and Instagram, and takes effect when it is first published at midwestwaterpros.com/privacy. It describes what the site does today; if we change what we collect or who we send it to, we change this page in the same release.

The short version

  • If you ask for a water report, we collect what you type into the form plus your phone number, and we use it to call you back about your water.
  • Your details go into our customer-records system. A scrambled version of some of them also goes to Meta, so we can tell which ads produce real enquiries.
  • We never sell your information for money.
  • Our calls are recorded, and you will hear an announcement telling you so at the start of every call.
  • We keep your details so we can follow up with you. Ask us to delete them at any time, and we will.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by , trading as Midwest Water Pros. You can reach a human at or .

Any box above reading NOT STATED means that detail has not been finalised yet. This page is not published while any of them is unfilled.

2. What we collect

What you type into the form

FieldWhy we askRequired
What is going on with your waterSo we know what problem to look at before we callNo
Municipal or well waterDecides which water-quality report applies to youYes
ZIP codeIdentifies your water system, and whether you are in our areaYes
Whether you own the homeA renter cannot authorise an installationYes
Your nameSo we know who we are callingYes
Phone numberThe call-back is the whole serviceYes
Email addressTo send you the report in writing as well, and — if you ticked the box — to email you about your requestNo
Your permission to contact youWe may not text or call you without itYes

We do not ask for your street address on the form, and we do not ask for any payment details on this website.

The form we run on Facebook and Instagram asks the same questions. When you fill that one in, Meta collects your answers under its own privacy policy and passes them to us; from then on they are handled exactly as this policy describes.

What is collected automatically when you submit the form

ItemWhat it is
Page addressWhich page you submitted from
Submission timeA timestamp, recorded with your permission text
An event referenceA random ID so one enquiry is not counted twice
Meta advertising cookiesThe values of Meta’s _fbp and _fbc cookies, if they are on your device, and the fbclid value if you arrived from a Facebook or Instagram ad
IP addressRead by our server when you submit, and stored with your permission — next to the wording you agreed to and the time — as our record of when, and from where, you asked us to call and text you. Also used as described in section 4
Browser identifierRead by our server when you submit. Used only as described in section 4 — it is not stored in our customer records

What we do not do

3. Why we use it

We do not use your information to make any automated decision that has a legal effect on you.

4. Who we share it with

Four companies, one contractor, and nobody else. We never sell your information for money.

WhoWhat they getWhy
GoHighLevel
our customer-records and calling system
Everything you typed into the form, plus the page address, the timestamp, your permission text and the IP address you sent it from, the event reference and the Meta cookie values It is where your enquiry lives and where we call and text you from
Meta
Facebook and Instagram advertising
Your email, phone, first name, last name and ZIP converted into scrambled codes that cannot be read back (SHA-256), plus your IP address and browser identifier unscrambled, plus the Meta cookie values, plus the page address you submitted from and whether it was reached through our Google listing, plus whether your water is municipal or well and whether you own your home. What you typed in the free-text box is never sent. So we can tell which ads produce real enquiries. Meta matches the scrambled codes against its own records
Vercel
website hosting
Standard web-server records, including your IP address, for every page you load They serve the website
Google Fonts Your IP address and browser identifier, on every page load The page loads its typeface from Google. This happens whether or not you fill in the form
The installer
a licensed plumber we subcontract
Your name, address, phone number and what is being installed — only if you buy Somebody has to come and fit it

We will also hand over information if the law requires it, and to professional advisers such as an accountant or a lawyer where they need it to advise us.

A note on what “selling” means. We do not sell your information for money. But sharing identifiers with Meta so it can measure and target advertising counts as “sharing for targeted advertising” under several state privacy laws. If you would rather we did not, tell us using the contact details in section 1 and we will stop for you — and see section 5 for how to switch Meta’s own tracking off at the source.

5. Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. It has no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to on our side.

Every page of this site loads Meta’s pixel, which sets Meta’s _fbp cookie on your device and tells Meta that you visited. That is Meta’s cookie under Meta’s terms, not ours. You can turn it off in Facebook → Settings → Ads, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser. Blocking it does not stop you using this site or getting your water report.

6. Calls, texts and email

7. How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we are in business, so we can follow up with you and look after anything we install for you. If you would rather we did not, ask us to delete them and we will (section 8).

Three things are kept even after a deletion request: the records of any sale or installation, which tax law and your warranty require; the record of the permission you gave us — its wording, time and IP address — which is our proof that you gave it; and a note that you asked us to stop contacting you, which is how we make sure you are not contacted again.

8. Your choices, and how to use them

You can ask us to do any of the following, whichever state you live in and whether or not a law entitles you to it. We do not charge for this and we do not treat you differently for asking.

Ask at or . We answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before we act — usually by calling you back on the number already on the record.

9. Children

This site is for homeowners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

10. How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Your form submission goes to our own server and then to our customer-records system; the keys that allow that are held as secrets and are never present in the web page. The personal details we send to Meta are scrambled before they leave our server. We do not write the contents of your submission into our server logs.

No system is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If information about you is exposed in a way that puts you at risk, we will tell you.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, who we send it to, or how long we keep it, we update this page and change the date at the top in the same release. Material changes are announced on the site.
